All the light we can see

For anyone who has read the wonderful novel All The Light We Cannot See, you'll know that my title was a play on words. I was on my way to St Malo, the setting for the novel and home to my sister. We had in mind to do our own tour of sights from the book, but first we stopped in Parame, the little village where my sister has a new( old) home.

Her house is in a charming village just seven minutes walk to the sea
With a sunny courtyard filled with geraniums and roses

Someone peeked in the gate and asked if it was a new nursery, or florist!

She has a cheerful kitchen with red appliances
And a lovely dining/ living room.
There is a nice little open air market around the corne
Where we bought delicious treats for our dinner.
This is the house of her neighbors who sold her the house, and now they will move across the courtyard to this lovely old home as soon as the new addition is completed.
The views from every bedroom are beautiful, and the houses all seem to have different rooflines.
Flowers even grow on top of these stone walls.
Nearly next door is the church, and you can hear the bells during the day and evening.
Nice blue door of the church.
And inside are the rather beautiful stained glass windows which create rainbow patterns on the floor below

I think this is one of my favorite photos of the trip...
She is lucky to live here, and I'm lucky to have relative in France to visit!
